With the vision to revolutionize data sharing in the realm of the blue economy, HULed by the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) at the University of Washington, the GBD study shared their observational epidemiological data with the Lancet, the international medical journal. The data entails global estimates such as “mortality and morbidity in 204 countries and territories, 369 diseases and injuries, and 87 risk factors,” which aims to improve accountability by quantifying progress in global health.
