Ghana Statistical Services is working with Vodafone Ghana, the telecommunications company, and the Flowminder Foundation, the Stockholm-based nonprofit, are collaborating through their Data For Good partnership. Using anonymised and aggregated mobile phone data provided by Vodafone, Ghana Statistical Services and Fowminder will try to identify where mobility restrictions instituted by the government are being adhered to on a district, regional, and national level. These analyses will inform subsequent government action to combat COVID-19 spread. It is also informing public reporting.
