The Data

On January 20, 2015, President Obama announced the Precision Medicine Initiative (PMI). The program will enroll participants from diverse backgrounds to collect data, which will be shared with researchers working on a variety of important health questions. The program focuses not just on disease but also on preventative and lifestyle changes needed for a healthy life.

How the data was shared

PMI's All of Us Research Program invites people from all across the U.S. to contribute health information. This information will form the basis of a dataset that researchers can analyze to identify better ways to prevent and treat diseases.

Purpose of Data Shared

PMI aims to be a participant-engaged, data-driven enterprise supporting research to prolong health and treat disease.
